On June 13th, 2026, over 15 artists, zine makers, anarchist zine distributors, the Democratic Socialists of America, Red Sky Comics, 100% Comics, and LGBTQ Merced came together for the second annual Merced Zine Fest! In partnership with the Merced County Library, the event was a huge success, with locally-made treats and coffees also for sale!
The Merced Zine Fest kicked off Pride weekend in Merced. Later that night, the Partisan hosted the fabulous DJ Lita Lo for her always incredible queer dance parties into the night.
Then, on Sunday, Cal Pride from Modesto hosted a mutual aid and resource fair including a queer clothing swap.
